How Can You Help?
We're glad you asked. Each year the Guy Daniels Memorial Foundation presents a surfing compettion to honor the spirit of Guy Daniels. The success of the SurfOff and related programs is directly contributable to the generosity of our community. Below are ways you can help:
Presenting Sponsor
We would love to see one company, organization, or individual step up and provide the funds needed to present the SurfOff allowing our Board of Directors to focus on our goals. This price is negotiable and all offers will be carefully considered. If you feel your goals harmonize closely with ours and would like to fully support our yearly event, contact Jim Daniels at (843) 902-7738
Scholarship Donation - $500 and $1,000
One major goal of our Foundation is to provide needed assistance to area youth in the form of a college scholarship. You can specifically earmark funds for this purpose and let us do the legwork involved with managing a scholarship fund. The scholarship is presented to the recipient by our Foundation in your name.
T-shirt Advertising - $300, deadline is August 1st
A huge hit each year are the event t-shirts. We print over 2,000 shirts every year. At only $300 per ad, you can't beat the cost effectiveness of this advertising opportunity. We can comfortably fit twenty logos on the shirt so don't wait to the last minute to place your ad.
Gift Bags and/or Gift Bag Items
Our surf contest is a little different than others so we take this opportunity to "pamper" the contestants. Besides, the contest is for them anyway and young surfers are the focus of our Foundation. Each contestant gets a gift bag with various items. We'd love to introduce them to your company by putting your swag in the gift bag.
Raffle Items
We love to see people smile and nothing makes them smile easier than free stuff. These items can be anything: weekend trip to the Bahamas, t-shirts, surfboards, sunglasses, or DVDs. Help us make them smile.
Ice, food, and beverages
The heat on the beach in mid August is treacherous and the parking is even worse so we provide conssessions to all beach goers (free for contestants). We'll accept drinks, water, hot dogs, burgers, snow cones, ice cream, and anything associated.
Monetary Support
If it's easiest for you to write a check to show your support, by all means do so. Monetary donations allow us to allocate the funds where necessary and are always appreciated.
Volunteer Support
Then there's the people. We've had wonderful volunteers since the inception of this event and Foundation. If you'd like to help us by providing your time please let us know. We'll certainly put you to work.
